Mike Woodson will return as Indiana coach next season, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.

The Hoosiers are just 16-13 overall and 8-10 in Big Ten play during Woodson's third season as coach.

Indiana has won its last two games but is just 6-10 since a strong 10-3 start, and the recent decline led to speculation that Woodson's job status could be in jeopardy.

The Indianapolis Star cited an Indiana athletic department source in its report.

Woodson, who turns 66 on March 24, is 60-39 as Indiana coach entering Wednesday night's road game at Minnesota.

Indiana would reportedly owe Woodson $12.6 million if it let him go after this season, with the school being allowed to pay that figure in $1 million installments each year. His contract runs through the 2026-27 season.

Woodson was a former star player at Indiana from 1976-80 under legendary Bobby Knight. He also played 11 NBA seasons and served as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks for six seasons and New York Knicks for part of three seasons.
