The New York Rangers have come to terms on a two-year contract extension with forward Jonny Brodzinski.

The one-way deal is worth $1.575 million.

Brodzinski, 30, has recorded career highs in assists (11), points (15) and games played (37) this season.

He began the season with the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate in Hartford but was called up in November after injuries to Filip Chytil and Kaapo Kakko.

Brodzinski has 32 career points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 138 career games with the Los Angeles Kings (2016-19), San Jose Sharks (2019-20) and Rangers.
