Top 25 roundup: Kansas State drops No. 9 Baylor in OT

Arthur Kaluma converted a four-point play in the final minute of overtime to help Kansas State knock off No. 9 Baylor 68-64 on Tuesday night in Manhattan, Kan.

The Bears (14-3, 3-1 Big 12) held a 64-59 lead after RayJ Dennis' layup with 1:12 left in the extra frame, but the Wildcats closed the contest on a 9-0 run to improve to 5-0 in overtime games this season.

Tylor Perry and Cam Carter each netted 18 points to lead Kansas State (13-4, 3-1). Kaluma finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Langston Love scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed five boards for Baylor, which also got 11 points from Jalen Bridges. Yves Missi nearly finished with a double-double, recording nine points and 11 rebounds.

No. 2 Purdue 87, Indiana 66

Zach Edey scored 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Boilermakers opened up a 22-point halftime lead and cruised to a Big Ten win over the Hoosiers in Bloomington, Ind.

Purdue (16-2, 5-2 Big Ten) also got 19 points from Fletcher Loyer, who was 4-for-4 from beyond the 3-point line, and 17 from Lance Jones. The Boilermakers sank 46.8 percent of their shots, while the Hoosiers shot 41.5 percent.

Trey Galloway scored 17 points to lead Indiana (12-6, 4-3), and Mackenzie Mgbako added 15. But the team's two leading scorers, Malik Reneau and Kel'el Ware, were held to eight and five points, respectively.

No. 3 Kansas 90, Oklahoma State 66

Hunter Dickinson scored a game-high 21 points as the Jayhawks overwhelmed the Cowboys in a Big 12 matchup in Stillwater, Okla.

Kansas (15-2, 3-1 Big 12) notched its second win in a row, while Oklahoma State (8-9, 0-4) lost for the fourth straight time.

Bryce Thompson led Oklahoma State with 20 points. Brandon Garrison and Jarius Hicklen had 10 points apiece.

No. 6 Tennessee 85, Florida 66

Dalton Knecht scored a career-high 39 points and the Volunteers rolled past the Gators in Knoxville, Tenn.

Knecht surpassed his previous career high of 37 points, set against North Carolina earlier this season. He made 13 of 23 field-goal attempts, 4 of 6 3-pointers and all nine of his free throws for Tennessee (13-4, 3-1 Southeastern Conference).

Walter Clayton Jr. scored 16 points to lead Florida (11-6, 1-3). Riley Kugel came off the bench to add 12, Zyon Pullin scored 11 and Tyrese Samuel had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Penn State 87, No. 11 Wisconsin 83

Kanye Clary supplied 27 points and Ace Baldwin Jr. chipped in 20 as the host Nittany Lions handed the Badgers their first Big Ten defeat.

The Nittany Lions (9-9, 3-4 Big Ten) had lost three of their previous four games, including a 17-point setback against No. 1 Purdue in their latest outing. However, they put together a much crisper effort in this one, shooting 53.3 percent — including 60.7 percent after halftime — and finishing 8 of 20 (40 percent) from 3-point range.

AJ Storr had 23 points and Steven Crowl added 17 points and 11 boards to pace the Badgers (13-4, 5-1), who had won 12 of their previous 13 games.

New Mexico 99, No. 16 Utah State 86

Nelly Joseph scored a season-high 26 points on 11-of-12 shooting to help the Lobos end the Aggies' 15-game winning streak, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Joseph also collected eight rebounds, blocked five shots for the second straight game and had three steals for the Lobos (15-3, 3-2), who are 10-0 at home. Donovan Dent had 15 points, a career-high 14 assists plus three steals, while Jaelen House had 14 points before fouling for New Mexico.

Ian Martinez scored 22 points and blocked three shots for Utah State (16-2, 4-1), which entered the day tied for the longest active winning streak in the country. Mason Falslev registered 19 points and nine rebounds and Great Osobor had 15 points and eight boards for the Aggies.

Cincinnati 81, No. 19 TCU 77 (OT)

Dan Skillings Jr. sank the winning layup with 22.3 seconds left in overtime to rally the host Bearcats past the Horned Frogs in a wild Big 12 contest.

Day Day Thomas scored 21 points, John Newman III chipped in with 20 and Skillings had 13 for Cincinnati (13-4, 2-2 Big 12), which snapped a two-game losing streak.

Trevian Tennyson led TCU (13-4, 2-2) with 17 points while Emanuel Miller added 15. TCU was denied its third straight conference win after recording an emotional home victory over then-No. 2 Houston on Saturday.

No. 20 BYU 87, No. 24 Iowa State 72

Spencer Johnson scored 19 of his career-high 28 points in the first half and Noah Waterman added 18 as the Cougars beat the Cyclones in Provo, Utah, to win a home game in the Big 12 for the first time.

Jaxson Robinson scored 15 points and Dallin Hall added 11 points and eight assists for BYU (14-3, 2-2), which entered off its first victory in its new conference, on the road at UCF on Saturday. Johnson and Aly Khalifa each had nine rebounds.

Keshon Gilbert scored 16 points and Milan Momcilovic added 11 for Iowa State (13-4, 2-2), which beat then-No. 2 Houston last week before getting past Oklahoma State on Saturday.

No. 21 Dayton 70, Saint Louis 65

DaRon Holmes II tallied game highs of 29 points and 14 rebounds to help lead the Flyers over the Billikens in Dayton, Ohio.

Enoch Cheeks added nine points and nine rebounds for the Flyers (14-2, 4-0 Atlantic 10), who have won 11 straight games. Koby Brea chipped in nine points off the bench on 3-for-7 shooting from 3-point range.

Gibson Jimerson paced Saint Louis (8-9, 1-3) with 13 points, followed by 12 points from Terrence Hargrove Jr. Bradley Ezewiro added 10 points for the Billikens, who have dropped four of their last five games.
