The Houston Texans signed veteran wide receiver Damiere Byrd to the practice squad on Wednesday.

The move comes two days after placing wideout Noah Brown (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve.

Byrd, 30, appeared in one game for the Atlanta Falcons this season but did not make a reception.

He has 130 catches for 1,689 yards and seven touchdowns in 76 games (28 starts) with the Carolina Panthers (2016-18), Arizona Cardinals (2019), New England Patriots (2020), Chicago Bears (2021) and Falcons.

The Texans visit the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens for an AFC divisional playoff matchup on Saturday.

Houston released defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
